The positive is you can cast your own bullets and use cast bullets to keep the cost down and you can usually get at minimum 10 reloads on a piece of brass. For subsonic loads the most popular is bullets between 500-600gr, the 500gr Hornady being the most common.
458 is very easy to cycle subsonic in an AR. I have an 8" tromix barrel on mine and 15gr of trail boss behind a 405 gr reminginton locks the action back. That was a bolt gun load I used in my other 458.
